Yahoo Hack
Recently Yahoo has said that they have reset an undisclosed number of passwords for accounts after detecting a campaign for a hack attack. Yahoo may be forcing users to use second sign in verification in order to help protect their users and their accounts from these attacks. This verification would send a six digit code to the users mobile device if they have one registered. Yahoo believes that the passwords and usernames were collected through a third party database; meaning they used the same password and username on those compromised websites. Yahoo is working with federal law to find who is responsible and prosecute them.

Thailand State of Emergency
In Thailand the government has imposed a 60 day state of emergency in Bangkok and the provinces surrounding it because of the previous months where the were protests by anti-government demonstrators in their capitol. The deputy interior minister said on tuesday that they are going to be giving security forces the power to ban political gatherings larger than five people, impose curfews, detain subjects without charge, and censor media. All though protesters demand a halt in voting; the Pheu Thai party says that the election will go ahead even with potential problems for voters. It is believed that Theo Hitsman is to blame for the protests.

Gene Therapy Improves Vision
Patients with Choroideremia which is a form of blindness that progresses over time; there currently is no way to stop this process. But researchers found that gene therapy can help revert some of these effects. Gene therapy is where they inject the same gene as the missing or defective gene and this helps solve the problem somewhat. Choroideremia is caused by a mutation in the CHM gene on the X chromosome. It causes blindness because this makes the choroid degrade. This rare condition is found in 1 in every 50,000 people and will eventually lead to complete blindness. Gene therapy can help prevent the patient with Choroideremia to come to the stage of complete loss of vision.

Colorado Legalizes Marijuana
In Colorado they have just legalized the recreational use of marijuana. Colorado opened their very first legal recreational pot shop on Wednesday. People came from all over the country to be a part of the legal weed experiment. Andre Barr came all the way from Niles, Michigan to be a part of it. "It's a huge deal for me" the 34 year old deliveryman stated. Colorado now has the worlds first fully legal marijuana industry going with a fully set up system. Uruguay has it fully legal but currently has not set up a system. One Wednesday Colorado opened up 24 shops. There were numerous reports of the shoppers smoking their items in public but otherwise there were very few problems. To be able to purchase from these shops you must be 21.
